Driver CPC Training
All drivers of lorries over 3.5 tonnes or Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCV) with 9 or more seats must complete 35 hours of periodic training every five years. Periodic training is delivered through training courses attended over the five year period covered by the validity of their current CPC. Training courses are usually 7 hours long and courses must be approved by JAUPT.
Driver CPC Training is a JAUPT approved centre and offer a full range of CPC courses for drivers of both LGV and PCV vehicles.
Our Courses
The aim of this course is to give you a better understanding as to why accidents happen. Allowing you to understand driver fatigue, the consequences of failing to be alert and to show the benefits of forward planning.

This course provides drivers an overall understanding of their roles, responsibilities and to minimise errors in compliance.

To help candidates become more aware of effects of fatigue, drugs, alcohol and other external factors on a driver’s ability to work effectively and within the law. Candidates will learn how to look after their customers and build on their communication skills to better deal with conflict. Drivers will also be provided with up to date information on security and counter terrorism issues.

To gain knowledge and understanding of a range of emergencies
Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
Know how to assess an incident
Manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
Manage and unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
Manage a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
The aim of this course is to ensure drivers’ receive a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of UK traffic laws, incident reporting, how to deal with being first on the scene and vulnerable road users.
